Still Standing

Can a broken heart find healing in abandoned places?Still Standing: Time Passed Through Us Differently is a photographic memoir about what remains after life-altering change. For years, my dog, Jazzy, was my anchor and inspiration as I documented decaying ruins. When she passed, my world went dark, and my camera's shutter snapped shut. For years, I photographed buildings that were slowly falling apart while, in many ways, my own life was doing the same. Now, I look at those photos differently. Time is bringing down those old houses while I'm finally building a life worth living. This book navigates the wreckage of grief, serving as a visual reminder that light can pierce even the deepest ruins. It reveals how, through therapy and a new companion named Izzy, I stepped out from behind the lens to rebuild my life. If you've ever loved deeply, lost completely, or found hope in unexpected places, this book is for you.
