St. Just Mystery- Death Comes as a Footnote

At a luxury Cotswolds writing retreat attended by St. Just's fiancée Portia De'Ath, guests gather to discuss murder, but soon one of them is dead in this twisty mystery from Agatha Award-winning author G.M. Malliet. Nine experts in make-believe. One very real murder. Welcome to Wychbrook House, where the gardens are immaculate, the wine flows freely, and everyone has something to hide. Criminologist and crime novelist Portia De’Ath is expecting a quiet Cotswolds writing retreat. Instead, a tabloid journalist is found dead at the bottom of a stone staircase — after threatening to expose most of the guests. The police call it an accident. Portia isn’t convinced. When she brings in her fiancé, Cambridge Detective Chief Inspector Arthur St. Just, the pair soon discover they’re surrounded by crime writers who know exactly how to construct the perfect crime — and possibly commit one. Because at Wychbrook House, somebody is no longer writing about murder. They’re committing it. Perfect for fans of Richard Osman, M.C. Beaton and traditional mysteries in the style of Agatha Christie filled with eccentric suspects, sharp observations, and deadly secrets.
