The Spencer boys-Bob, Charlie, and Roy-grew up tough in the backwoods of Illinois, raised by hardworking parents and hardened by life in a logging camp. But when their father sends them on a simple job to mark trees on their Uncle Tony's land in rural Argyle, Iowa, the brothers are thrown into a violent world of secrets, moonshine, betrayal, and buried sins that were never meant to surface. What begins as a routine trip quickly spirals out of control. The locals hate the Spencers. Old grudges resurface. Warnings echo through town. And when the brothers reunite with their runaway sister Holly-now the strong-willed owner of a rough local bar-they realize the family history they thought they knew is nothing but lies layered over decades of bloodshed.A shocking discovery in an old well exposes long-buried evidence of murder-linking their family to the unsolved disappearance of Argyle's beloved high school football star, Gary Reed. As tensions explode, the Spencers find themselves hunted by corrupt law enforcement, ruthless moonshiners, vengeful locals, and even their own kin.
