Soren and the Broken Watch: 1

When Soren accidentally breaks his family's treasured pocket watch, he's tempted to hide his mistake and pretend everything is fine. But when he confesses to Grandpa Eli, he learns a beautiful truth about God's righteousness. Through the story of Boaz, the kinsman-redeemer in the Book of Ruth, Soren discovers that only God is perfectly righteous - completely good, fair, and pure with no flaws or pretending. Best of all, when we trust in Jesus, God gives us Jesus' own perfect righteousness as a free gift. This is called imputed righteousness. A heartfelt story that gently explains imputed righteousness, daily confession and cleansing (1 John 1:9), and how we can stop pretending to be perfect and instead depend on Jesus every day. Includes a devotional, discussion questions, family challenge, and meaningful memory verses. Perfect for ages 7-12 and families who want to grow together in understanding God's character.
