Simple Circuits Using PIC10F Microcontrollers: 16 Minimalist Examples

The purpose of this booklet is: - first, to present, using a minimalist approach, the hardware and software required to implement the 8-bit PIC microcontrollers in the PIC10F family, which consists of six part numbers: PIC10F200, PIC10F202, PIC10F204, PIC10F206, PIC10F220, and PIC10F222, which are classified in Microchip's baseline portfolio. In 2011, Microchip announced the release of the PIC10F320, which offers a performance-to-price ratio unmatched on the market and is considered the top-of-the-line PIC10F microcontroller. - On the other hand, to introduce the reader to the boundless field of embedded systems programming (in assembly language), starting with extremely simplified yet typical solutions and progressing to advanced case studies. Finally, special attention is given to various essential development tools, such as a reliable programmer for parallel, serial, or USB ports, and the use of a freeware multi-window editor compatible with Windows and Linux, coupled with the MPASM assembly programming environment distributed free of charge by Microchip.
