Our energetic young son was the inspiration for this book, as he was learning to walk without bumping into things. I started a list of "Sweet Nothings" my husband and I used to help our son learn the ways of the world in a positive manner, which turned into this book. I took care to use copy that either boys or girls could see themselves in. I love John Erste's creative and colorful illustrations and characterizations of the story. This is Karen Copper's first published children's story, which came about as she was helping her husband, Glen Copper, promote his first novel, "ANGELS DANCE ON THE HEAD OF A PIN".She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a Mass Communications Major, and was editor of the student newspaper. She worked for over 28 years at Milwaukee's two public television stations.
