SHE: The Power of a Prophetic Woman

A woman is a unique being created in the image of God with distinct features. She captures specific attributes of God and has been specially designed to reveal God uniquely. She is the crowning creature of God's creation as seen in Genesis 2:18; God takes a look at creation and realizes that man is alone because the male and female expressions of Himself that He created were all packaged in one vessel called Adam (Genesis 5:2). So God says, "it is not good for man to be alone," in other words, don't leave him compact, separate the female from the male so that she can become a companion that is suitably adaptable to man. In Genesis 1:26-28, it is apparent that the male and female are created in the image of God, although we find out later in Chapter 2 that God separated the female from the male by causing a deep sleep to fall on Adam, after which He took out a rib from his side with which He (God) formed the woman. This negates the thought that the woman is an afterthought in God's creation. The woman was a product of God's creation from the very beginning. In Genesis 1, both were created by God to show forth His glory and praise. (Isaiah 43:21, Psalms 19:1, 1 Peter 2:9). A woman captures the feminine expressions of God. Several feminine attributes have been used in describing God; these attributes can be seen and understood clearly by taking a glimpse into the life of a woman. Let's examine some of the nature of God that relates to the feminine gender.
