Seismic Performance of Prefabricated RCS Composite Structures: DE

The Reinforced Concrete Column-Steel Beam (RCS) composite structure fully exploits the respective advantages of steel and concrete, representing a sustainable structural system. Its comprehensive performance is superior to that of traditional reinforced concrete frame structures and steel frame structures, earning it the designation as a "low-cost, high-efficiency" structural form. Applying this system to prefabricated construction to develop prefabricated hybrid structural systems holds significant economic and social implications for transforming China's extensive construction practices and aligning with the trend of construction industrialization. To fully leverage the advantages of the RCS hybrid structural system, this study, integrating the concept of weakened extended joints and research on energy dissipation and seismic reduction technologies, proposes three different types of hybrid joints utilizing dry bolted connections.
