A historical fiction of Bogdan Bratajewski, a Cichociemni "Silent Unseen" Polish Paratrooper who drops into Poland in November 1943 during World War II. Trained by Churchill's Special Operations Executive (the SOE), he is tasked to penetrate into the Third Reich to locate, capture, and extract the so-called "Man in the Red Circle." However, Bogdan harbors a secret agenda of his own: to locate, rescue, and remove to safety his only surviving family member, his younger sister Justyna. She is believed to be tied to the "Man in the Red Circle" by a photograph showing the two of them being publicly shamed with their head shaven, indicating an unlawful tryst. Bogdan is prepared to forego his mission, kill the German, and use the escape route to take his sister out of Germany and Poland to Sweden.
