SDG 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

In an increasingly interconnected world, the strength of a society is measured by its ability to adapt, connect, and evolve. While Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9) is often viewed through the lens of concrete and steel, its true "backbone" is the resilient society that builds it. This book argues that the most critical innovation we can develop is found not in the factory floor, but in the classroom. By advocating for a shift from rote learning to STEM-driven curricula, this work illustrates how we can prepare the next generation to solve real-world challenges. It serves as a roadmap for transforming education into the ultimate engine for sustainable progress. This book is part of the Interdisciplinary Book Publication Drive 2026, an initiative of the Office of Research & Development, Madras Christian College, reaffirming our dedication to academic scholarship and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
