Humanity believes time is measured in years. The civilizations beyond Earth know otherwise. >Earth does and does not. Somehow though they are advancing towards a milestone it should not reach for thousands of years. The calculations are impossible. Scuttles are created from living tissue, advanced machinery, and synthetic intelligence, existing somewhere between organism and machine. After meeting Rowan and his 2 dogs Dax and Bella she becomes immersed in his life and the lives of his two best friends Ben and John. Scout begins experiencing humanity firsthand rather than through distant observation.
