"What really is the American System of Economics?" Oftentimes this question is answered by exploring the economic theory, the motivating principles, or even presenting a "recipe" of what the American System is supposed to be. This book is different. The accomplishments and careers of great and creative individuals are explored-people such as Henry Kaiser, the Wright Brothers, George Westinghouse, Nikola Tesla and Henry Ford. Their stories are told. Great projects, such as the Erie Canal, the Transcontinental Railroad and the Panama Canal are examined. And the life's work of certain towering proponents of the American System, like Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln and William McKinley, are discussed. All of these people exhibited extraordinary courage, inventive genius and great determination, and all were devoted to creating a better, happier future. What is presented is both the heritage of the American Republic, but also a truthful representation of American Culture. These "Scenes" include the complete Substack series, edited and expanded, with new material. Through a series of vignettes, this work explores what the "American System" actually is.
