Scavenger Ethos: 9

- NOW AN EXCITING LIVE ACTION TV SERIES -Years before Samuel Hyst picked up a blowtorch, the Order of Acquisitions was already stealing the future one dead world at a time. Damon Vard was born a scavenger and made a void marine, and now Master Hathos, the Order's brilliant and merciless linguist-engineer, takes his protégé beyond the Ellisian Line to hunt the Neptune, a lost Wageri watership whose filtration core has turned poison into drinking water for a hundred years without ever failing once. On the storm-scoured desert world of Styx, where lightning drove three starships to ground and thirst forged their descendants into three warring tribes, that machine is the only water on the planet. The Order intends to cut it out and carry it home. But the tribes of Cerebus, Neptune, and Hera will not surrender their god without blood. With a squad of marines rationing ammunition, a master who has already priced their lives, and an alliance built on a lie, Damon must broker peace between enemies, lead an assault on a century-old fortress ship, and choose what he is willing to hold when the betrayal comes. The universe rewards the relentless. Damon learns that lesson better than the man who taught it.The dark adventure reveals the origin of the Order of Acquisitions, the first half-step on Master Hathos's road to cybernetic horror, and the man who will stand beside the Salvage Marines in the final battle for mapped space. On Styx, nothing is owned. Only held.
