History has shown us many great civilizations. The Hittites, the Aegeans, the Romans, and the Greeks, among others, constructed civilizations of tremendous power and reach. Their achievements are recorded legacies that have filtered down some of the greatest innovations ever seen. Here are some examples to illustrate this point: It was during early recorded history that men experimented with various forms of government with the goal of curtailing the encroachments of bloody looting tyrants bent on domination, slavery, and tribute. Among such tyrants, rights were unknown and unacknowledged. Constitutional protections became necessary.
