Sanctuary

Setting in Wray, Colorado, twenty-two years of silence stand between the truth and the town that buried it.Riley, a patient anthropology graduate student, arrives in Wray under the cover of an ordinary research project-dinosaur fossils, old land grants, the kind of history nobody minds a stranger asking about. But an old newspaper clipping has led her here for a different reason: a crash the town turned into a joke, a government search that found nothing, and a story that never quite made sense. What she uncovers is not a hoax. It's a decades-old secret held by a mayor's family, a surveyor who buried the truth in false coordinates, and a small-town priest who has spent half his life guarding a wound only he understood. Riley's patient, careful digging brings her face to face with something the town was never meant to find-and with a man who has spent twenty-two years terrified of exactly this moment.Sanctuary is a slow-burn mystery about faith, guilt, and the quiet cost of keeping a promise alone-until one determined stranger finally asks the right questions, and a secret that could destroy a man's life instead sets it free.
