Sacrifice on the Border: a Mother Searches for her Stolen Child

When Yoali leaves her hometown of Quesería and sets off for El Norte, she has no idea that her beloved Elisito will be stolen by Guayo-his own father-who doubts the child is truly his. In revenge, he plots to sell the boy's organs on the black market. At the river crossing Guayo takes Elisito and tells a grieving Yoali that the child has drowned. But she refuses to believe him. She swears she will find her son. Frank, a policeman who falls in love with Yoali, risks his career to help her. Together they pursue Coyota, a trafficker fleeing with the child through cartel territory south of the border. Along the way they face violence and betrayal-but also discover each other. Yoali and Frank finally reach Quesería, where Coyota has taken Elisito. But Guayo and the cartel are already there. All will fight for the child-even the townspeople. Will he survive?
