Russians and dutchmen

Op 2 juni 1989 werd er in het Rijksmuseum een tentoonstelling geopend genaamd Russians and Dutchmen, waar de Nederlands-Russische betrekkingen tussen 1600-1917 aan bod kwamen. Hierop volgde op 6 juni 1989 een symposium voor Russische en Nederlandse historici. Deze Engelstalige bundel bevat een deel van de lezingen die die dag zijn gehouden. Ze behandelen de Russisch-Nederlandse relaties en handelsbetrekkingen van voor de Russische Revolutie, variërend van de Nederlandse bijdrage aan de cartografie van Rusland tot de zijdehandel met Rusland en de Georgisch-Nederlandse betrekkingen in de 17e eeuw.De inhoudsopgave is als volgt: Bruno Naarden, ‘Dutchmen and the European image of Russia before 1917’ V.F.
