ROSE PETALS AND TEA LEAVES, roses of the Alhambra and other stories is an openhearted and heartwarming book about beautiful places inside our heart. It is a book about roses, love, grief, loss, history, religion and faith against the background of beautiful places like Paris, Seville, Cordoba and Granada. It includes the poems the "Roses of the Alhambra" and "Girl in the White Dress", published for the first time, as well as some beautiful pictures of the roses of the Alhambra. Most stories in this book were first published in ROSE PETALS AND TEA LEAVES, childhood memories and other stories. Barbara Bahtiar was born in 1963 in Alkmaar (Holland) as the eldest of three sisters. Her youngest sister died shortly before her first birthday, so grief has been part of her life from the beginning. As a child, she used to read a lot of books, especially fairy tales about foreign countries like Russia and China. She travelled to imaginary beautiful places which comforted her in her loss. She developed the gift of writing meditations as an intuitive psychologist. She has travelled a lot in Europe and Indonesia and has discovered many beautiful places. She is married and has two daughters.
