The remaining Small Faces—Ian McLagan (keyboards), Ronnie Lane (bass), and Kenney Jones (drums and percussion)—were joined by Ronnie Wood (guitar) and Rod Stewart (lead vocals), both from the Jeff Beck Group, and the new line-up was renamed the Faces. Ronnie Lane & Slim Chance Profile: Ronnie Lane left Faces (3) in May 1973 to go solo and eventually formed his own band "Slim Chance" with Bruce Rowland (drums), Billy Livsey (keyboards), Jimmy Jewell (Saxes), Kevin Westlake (guitar), Chris Stewart (bass), Benny Gallagher (guitar) and Graham Lyle (vocal). Gallagher & Lyle were succeeded by Robin Lucas and Drew McCulloch and Chris Stewart came in on bass until Steve Bingham. Ken Slaven was added on violin.
