Risk and Safety Management in Construction Projects

According to the significant growth of urbanization and advances in modern technologies, the existence of possible risks and hazards is inevitable and has become an integral part of daily life. Accidents are almost everywhere and sometimes unpredictable. One of the most important risky areas that has a significant share of accidents is the construction industry. In this industry, accidents are an ever-present and lurking element. Failure to pay attention to risks causes negative effects on cost, time and quality of construction. In order to effectively manage risk in construction projects, it is necessary to use the correct and systematic methodology, and at the same time, there is sufficient knowledge and experience. Although different definitions of risk management and its stages have been presented so far, all three main areas of risk identification, assessment and control are considered as fixed and unchangeable parts of risk management.
