Bol Riley Cameron used to be Leo Stanley Cameron - named after the father who murdered his mom and little brother Ike when Riley was 8, then killed himself. Riley survived by hiding in a closet. Now he's 14, living with his two adoptive moms, Mom and Ma, in Duxbury, Massachusetts.Riley has complex PTSD. Car backfires send him "turtling" - curling up and shutting down. He sleeps with Radar, his old teddy bear. He has nightmares. He flinches at loud noises. But he's also just a kid: he has a paper route on the quiet Duxbury streets, plays ball with the Tincaps, and has two chaotic therapy dogs, Acorn and Oaks.
