Revival Begins in the Heart: How Light of Christ Transforms Us

What does true spiritual revival look like-and how do we guard its flame?Revival is more than an emotional church service, a powerful worship experience, or a temporary moment at the altar. True revival begins in the heart when we respond to the Light of Jesus Christ with repentance, surrender, and obedience. Yet, revival is not meant to end with a single experience. The flame must be guarded, strengthened, and reflected through the way we live.In Revival Begins in the Heart: How the Light of Christ Transforms Us, Lesli D. Mize examines the difference between outward religious excitement and the lasting spiritual transformation produced by God's Word and the Holy Spirit. Through biblical passages, personal reflection, and practical application, readers will discover how the Light of Christ exposes darkness, renews the mind, strengthens faith, and transforms the believer's life. The companion message, Guard the Flame, Shine the Light: Reflecting Christ in a Darkened World, continues this journey by exploring what happens after the flame of revival has been ignited. Believers are encouraged to protect their spiritual devotion, remain faithful to Christ, and allow His light to shine through their character, conduct, love, and witness.Together, these two messages will encourage readers to: - Examine the true condition of their hearts- Understand the biblical meaning of spiritual revival- Walk in repentance, surrender, and obedience- Guard the spiritual flame God has kindled within them- Resist the darkness that threatens their devotion- Grow in Christian faith and spiritual maturity- Reflect the character and Light of Jesus Christ- Live as faithful witnesses in a darkened worldIdeal for personal reflection, Christian devotional reading, small-group discussion, spiritual growth, discipleship, and church ministry, this booklet calls believers to move beyond temporary emotion, pursue genuine transformation through Jesus Christ, and faithfully carry His light into the world.
