Was it stolen by home-grown terrorists bent on setting the Middle East ablaze, or is it in the possession of Middle East terrorists who intend to detonate it on U.S. soil?A Pentagon colonel with the answer is found dead in a sleazy Washington motel. Max Geller, now a consultant to the DC Metro police, and Greta Von Wiles, an Army intelligence officer, are assigned to investigate the colonel's death. Their investigation takes them from New York City to a secret base in California and across the Atlantic, through the Mediterranean, and into the Middle East.
