Return to Energy: Lived Experience as God Designed: How Competing Metabolisms Shape Health and Disease

Energy is fundamental to every cell in the body-but many people have lost access to it.What if healing is less about adding more-and more about restoring access to the energy already within us?In Return to Energy, Michael MacDonald blends lived experience, metabolic science, and first principles of human physiology to explore why so many people continue to struggle with fatigue, weight gain, declining resilience, and chronic disease despite doing what they've been told.Through a personal journey of health transformation, MacDonald examines insulin resistance, mitochondrial function, fasting, nutrition, and the modern conditions that disrupt the body's natural design. Rather than offering another quick fix or motivational program, this book presents a deeper framework for understanding how energy shapes health-and how restoring access to it can renew clarity, vitality, and forward momentum.
