Reflections From Strange Island

Devastated and disillusioned by his circumstances the author discovered a unique refuge from the dysfunctional madness of the modern world in an almost forgotten area of English wilderness. Based on a remote island, living self-sufficiently off-grid, he self-exiled for over 16 years, travelling the waterways on his 70 foot narrowboat to places where echoes of our Neolithic past can still communicate their ancient wisdoms - if we learn how to listen. In this Waterworld he experienced deep connections with our remote nomadic past, gaining profound insights, which he suggests can provide an alternative view of the human journey, redefine our natural relationship with the Universe and bestow a positive and hopeful new vision of how our future might be.
