Recent Advances in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology

This Topic presents a collection of contemporary research and critical reviews that capture the latest developments in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology. The field has moved well beyond traditional pharmacokinetic profiling and acute toxicity testing and is now embracing systems pharmacology, computational toxicology, and evidence-based approaches to optimize drug use in food-producing and companion animals. A central theme emerging from the contributions is the challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and the search for pharmacological alternatives.
