Raymond Signs

RAYMOND SIGNS employs a distinctive "story within a story" approach, transforming learning into an engaging adventure for families and readers of all ages. Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the book speaks to deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences while also welcoming those who embrace American Sign Language as a second, visual language. It functions as a true bridge of communication-one that invites participation from children and adults alike, from ages 1 to 100.At the heart of the narrative is Raymond, a charismatic guide whose curiosity and warmth lead readers through discovery. Like a modern pied piper, Raymond draws audiences into a timeless experience that works in any season and setting. His character has the potential to become a male counterpart to Ms. Frizzle, positioning RAYMOND SIGNS as a spiritual successor to The Magic School Bus for a new generation-educational, imaginative, and deeply human. From the inventive imagination of "mountain man" Jimmy Byrge, RAYMOND SIGNS promises to stand as a new classic: a joyful, meaningful work that celebrates language, connection, and the power of visual storytelling.
