Raiders of the Lina-Maria

A tale of ambition, deceit, betrayal, violence and revenge. Matt Tyler, a former U.S. Army Special Forces officer, arrives in Charleston to visit his uncle and finds he has just been killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking home from the university where he was a professor. Matt soon learns his late uncle, a former political consultant in DC, was blackmailing Sophia Hallman, the woman expected to become the next president of the United States, with a video of her past indiscretion. Matt doesn't like politics, but is assailed by those who want the Sophia video; some to expose her and destroy her chances of being elected, and others who want to use the video to control her once she's elected. Sophia's mentor and financial backer is the aged multi-billionaire, De Groot, who lives on his billion dollar mega-yacht, Lina-Maria His goal is to destroy the United States from within, as her guiding force. Matt refuses to become involved and believes he has destroyed all copies of Sophia's videos, but his late uncle had threatened revenge in the event of his untimely death. The search for the revenge video leads to burglaries, FBI raids, kidnappings, assaults, murders and assassination attempts, ordered by De Groot and high-ranking members of the U.S. government. The only way Matt can survive is to become the aggressor, which means an assault on Lina-Maria, where he'll have to deal with a twenty-man security force and the deadly killer who leads them, with only a female tabloid reporter and a Cajun chef to help him..
