Bol This adventurous and varied collection of poems began nearly thirty years ago in Wivenhoe with 'A Walk on Part', spans many years of personal love, happiness, and angst about the wider world; and concludes with loss and omens of departure.Sonnets, quatrains, and couplets tangle with free verse, haiku and metric verse without rhyme. Reason and imagination contend and combine, lightness and good humour join in with the philosophical and the serious. The title Ragged Flock is a phrase from the included poem 'Elegy for Kate Nevard' in which the listeners were implored to remember her if they saw jackdaws flying, as they often do near where she lived.'
