The aim of this book is to study the universe of human passions and the articulation of this endeavour with the critique of rationality systematically conducted by Psychoanalysis and Nietzsche, and thus elaborate an interlocution between the fields of Psychoanalysis and Philosophy. This is a study that involves Desire and Rationality. The functioning of the human psyche and its processes - emotional or rational, due to their peculiarity and diversity, are sources of debate and study and express, in general, the complex relationship between subjects. The aim is to identify and develop the main concepts constructed and founded by Psychoanalysis and Nietzsche, to understand the critique of metaphysics and the appeal to the Dionysian as the foundation of the subject of the unconscious and in the field of Psychoanalysis, to address themes such as drive, anguish, desire, id, self, superego, libido, consciousness and others that, throughout the development of the main theme, were necessary to situate the relationship between the areas.
