Presumption and Drift: The Quiet Undoing of a Leader

This book explores the subtle, often unnoticed movements that undo a leader long before their failure becomes visible. Drawing from the story of Saul - a man chosen, gifted, positioned, and empowered, yet unformed - Anstey Jeremiah traces how presumption, fear, and unexamined inner life slowly shape a leader's future. This is not a book about technique. It is a book about awareness. With pastoral gentleness and reflective clarity, Anstey guides readers through: - how leaders drift when they assume rather than listen- why talent can outrun formation- how fear shapes decisions more than calling- the danger of leading without inner examination- the quiet patterns that undo a leader's soul- the grace that invites every leader to returnSaul's story is not a warning for the wicked. It is a mirror for the unaware. Whether you lead a church, a team, a classroom, a company, or a family, this book invites you to slow down, look beneath the surface, and rediscover the inner life that sustains true leadership. Because drift is not inevitable. Awareness is always possible. And the leader you are becoming is shaped long before anyone sees it.
