Prayers to Give Thanks God

The practice of giving thanks to God has its roots in the Old Testament, where the consecration of bread and shared meals with meat, bread, and wine were accompanied by prayers and psalms of praise, especially during the time of King David. These celebrations, known as todah, emphasized the importance of gratitude as an essential part of the faith and life of the people of Israel. In the New Testament, this tradition of gratitude reached its fullness at the Last Supper of Jesus. In giving thanks -from the Greek eucharistein, meaning thanksgiving- He instituted the Eucharist, the supreme act of gratitude to God that unites us with salvation through His passion, death, and resurrection. Thus, gratitude became a spiritual path of union with Christ and of recognizing His gifts. This book brings together 25 intercessory prayers addressed to the Holy Trinity to raise words of gratitude in daily life. With spaces to write personal intentions and reflections, as well as a novena of gratitude that invites us to contemplate the history of the Church and salvation in Christ, this work offers a unique spiritual resource. Accompanied by historical images and inspiring biblical passages, this book is a practical guide to strengthening faith, cultivating gratitude, and drawing closer to God through prayer.
