Practices and Endogenization of Education Governance in Cameroon: Prescriptive Analysis from an African Perspective

*Praxis and Endogenization of Educational Governance in Africa* offers a critical reflection on models of educational governance and management inherited from the colonial era and largely inspired by Western frameworks. Drawing on the case of Cameroon and an in-depth analysis of African education systems, the book questions the relevance of institutional frameworks that are often disconnected from the continent's cultural, social, and political realities.The author highlights the limitations of an externally driven approach to educational governance and advocates for an endogenous approach grounded in the values, identities, local knowledge, and aspirations of African societies. He explores the sociocultural, political, and economic dimensions of education, while proposing concrete avenues for the nationalization of school management and a form of governance that is more participatory, inclusive, and tailored to African contexts.
