Polyvinyl Xiu Xiu Eraserhead Cassette

The Eraserhead Xiu Xiu music cassette presents Xiu Xiu’s experimental vision in a dense, unsettling sound world rooted in rock and avant-garde sound collage. It translates the band’s live tribute to David Lynch’s cult film into a tactile, analog format, emphasizing hiss, texture, and claustrophobic atmosphere.Layers of field recordings, modular synths, organ and distorted vocals merge into an industrial, nocturnal mood that suits the cassette medium. Tracks such as Viento, Sleep Synth and Tetra move between minimal, ghostly passages and bursts of abrasive noise, while In Heaven reimagines the film’s iconic song as a fractured, haunted centerpiece. Released in 2026, this cassette captures Xiu Xiu at their most cinematic and abstract, turning Eraserhead’s world into a sustained, immersive listening experience.
