The objective of this study was to develop a wastewater treatment process that could reduce its pollutant load to a level acceptable for the environment. Algaefloc19 was selected through a jar test as the most effective coagulant for this treatment. The optimization of operating conditions, corresponding to maximum pollutant load reduction, was carried out using a design of experiments, and its graphical interpretation was performed using MINITAB software. The treatment efficiency for oxidizable substances was optimal for effluents from the PP unit, with a value of 98%, followed by effluents from the blending unit, with a value of 94.3%. The lowest treatment efficiency was recorded for the effluent from the soap unit, with a treatment efficiency of 48.5%. The wastewater treatment plant was sized based on daily monitoring of effluent flow rates.
