PERSONA Magazine - Vol. 1, No. 2 (July 2026): Issue 2, 2026

Persona, Vol. 1, No. 2 (2026), explores the people through whom we understand the values, tensions, and possibilities of our time. Through in-depth profiles, interviews, cultural essays, and interdisciplinary narratives, this issue presents distinguished individuals working across public service, academic research, risk management, culinary culture, visual art, traditional performance, and cultural advocacy. The cover story features Shao Yang, a Harvard-trained chemist, biotechnology executive, Fremont City Councilmember, and community leader. His profile examines how scientific discipline, analytical thinking, and a strong sense of public responsibility have shaped his work in education, local government, and civic life.Another major feature follows American journalist, editor, documentary producer, teacher, and independent researcher Carl Nagin, whose decades-long study of the Chinese master Zhang Daqian has developed into an extensive cross-cultural investigation. The article explores Nagin's work across journalism, archives, documentary film, art history, and biography, revealing how questions of authenticity, artistic reputation, cultural translation, and historical memory intersect. The issue also introduces Zhang Yanyu and the development of a cross-border risk assessment framework; Liu Fengkai's efforts to make Chinese cuisine a universal cultural language; and the work of Qinqiang master Fuji Ji, Shehuo ink artist Wang Fumin, Huaniu Apple cultural advocate Qinzhou Niu, and calligraphy artist Lillian Don.By bringing together stories of knowledge, creativity, perseverance, and service, Persona seeks not only to document individual achievements but also to illuminate the values and responsibilities behind them. This issue invites readers to understand contemporary society through the lives of those who actively shape it.¿¿¿¿¿PERSONA¿2026¿¿1¿¿2¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿·¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿
