Paris Promises

This story begins with a robbery in Boston during the height of the Vietnam War, moves to Paris, and finishes years later back in America. It is a tale of love and betrayal as seen through the eyes of Sean Patton, a young man who finds himself broke and living in the Paris underground. There he meets his mentor and his friend, Sonny Havens, who guides him in his life discovery. Through Sonny, Sean meets all kinds of characters who touch his life in different and profound ways. But it is Sean's betrayal of Sonny during the festival of St. Fermin and the running of the bulls in Pamplona, that haunts him for years and finally forces him to return home to confess and beg forgiveness from someone else whose life was also touched by the events.
