After a first visit to Paris, the question, What would it take to live there? started to percolate. Drawn to the history, beauty and value system of France, Piotter and his wife embarked on an implausible journey and gave up a comfortable middle-class life which suited neither of them. Risking homelessness, they stepped into the void, sold their house, gave away most of their possessions and stored what was left.
