Painting with Words is a heartfelt and vibrant collection of poetry that captures the essence of life's journey through the eyes of a man who wears many hats: a devoted son, a loving father, a dedicated barber, a passionate advocate, and a soulful artist. Within these pages, readers will discover reflections on growing up in the Bronx surrounded by nine older sisters, heartfelt tributes to a beloved mother, and tender, timeless moments shared with his daughters.Through humor, vulnerability, and sincerity, the author weaves stories of resilience, joy, grief, and self-discovery. These poems celebrate the rich tapestry of Black womanhood, honor the strength of family, and embrace the power of memory and legacy. Whether recounting the innocence of childhood, the challenges of adulthood, or the beauty found in the everyday, this collection invites readers to pause, laugh, reflect, and ultimately connect with the universal truths of love, loss, healing, and hope.Painting with Words is more than a book of poetry-it is a living testimony to the human spirit, a reminder that even in our struggles there is beauty, and in our differences there is unity. This is a book that speaks to anyone who has loved deeply, endured hardship, and found strength in the bonds that make us whole.
