Optimizing Academic Excellence explores the relationship between internal service quality, job satisfaction, and academic staff performance in private universities in Burundi. The study was conducted in three chartered private universities: the University of Ngozi, Martin Luther King University, and the University of Lake Tanganyika. It examines service quality through tangibles, responsiveness, reliability, and assurance, as well as job satisfaction and academic performance. The book discusses teaching, supervision, research, publication, and consultancy. Based on Social Exchange Theory, Two-Factor Theory, and Total Quality Management Theory, it proposes the Transformational Involvement Quality Services (TIQS) model to support university leaders, lecturers, researchers, policymakers, and students in improving academic excellence.
