The growing demand for clean and sustainable transportation has accelerated the development of Solar Electric Vehicles (SEVs). This project focuses on the design and fabrication of a solar-powered electric vehicle that reduces dependence on conventional charging and minimizes carbon emissions. The system integrates photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, a charge controller, and a rechargeable battery pack to power a high-efficiency 750W Brushless DC (BLDC) motor. A 48V, 20Ah lithium-ion battery serves as the primary energy storage unit, ensuring reliable and efficient vehicle operation. Testing under various load conditions demonstrated stable performance, good acceleration, and extended range. The study highlights the importance of optimized battery integration and renewable energy utilization in improving SEV reliability and practicality. Overall, the project demonstrates the feasibility of combining solar energy and advanced battery systems to create a sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly transportation solution, contributing to the advancement of clean and self-sustaining mobility systems.
