Optimisation tool in companies: Strategic Planning

The significant space conquered by micro and small businesses in recent times is noticeable. Small organisations are increasingly present in the economy and are extremely relevant to society. However, due to their limited scope, many micro and small businesses still have deficiencies in their daily operations due to the lack of strategic planning, a mechanism that is increasingly essential to the progress of any enterprise. Given this situation, there was a need to understand the real reason why administrators, directors, or managers of micro and small enterprises do not use this instrument/tool, which, despite its simplicity, tends to provide great benefits. In order to verify this, a quantitative descriptive survey was conducted in the city of Conceição da Aparecida-MG, with the aim of highlighting how micro and small businesses in the locality develop the habit of strategic planning, identifying the main difficulties and proposing suggestions for improvement.
