On Photography

Spanning from Felice Beato, John Thomson, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Willy Ronis, and Josef Koudelka to Garry Winogrand, Yan Mofan, and Chang Chien-Chi; from the American FSA Documentary Movement to the photojournalistic age inaugurated by the French periodical VU; from staged photography, street photography, and New Pictorialism to postcolonial African photography; from the Orientalist framing of China's photographic representation to the contact sheets of Magnum Photos-this volume brings together more than thirty key monographs on photographers, movements, phenomena, and histories over the past hundred years.
