Of Empire and Honor: 1

In the Ebo-Irgan system, power has always known how to dress itself as justice. For generations, the corporate-state entity Viidar has maintained order - which is to say, it has maintained hierarchy - while the official record insisted otherwise. When Rachel Berry, a mediocre freelance journalist from the edge of the galaxy, follows the wrong lead into the heart of a brewing revolution, she stumbles into a story bigger than anything her outworld publication was ever meant to cover. What she witnesses - the suffering of those who resist, the machinery of those who profit, and the complicated courage of those who have decided that enough is enough - will change her. Though not, it turns out, in the direction anyone hoped.Of Empire and Honor begins a trilogy about what revolutions cost, what they leave behind, and what fills the space when the old order falls. It is a story about power and the people who convince themselves they deserve it - and about the ones who know better, and fight anyway.
