OECD digital economy outlook

This book provides an integrated analysis of trends, indicators, and policy developments in the expanding digital economy. It brings together the former OECD Internet Economy and OECD Communications Outlooks to better reflect the increasing convergence that is taking place at and in between the infrastructure and the application layers.Beginning with an overview of the current status and outlook of the digital economy, the report examines the main trends and policy developments in the ICT sector, in particular the communication sector; ICT demand and adoption; evolution of the content and creative industries; and the effects of the digital economy on growth and development. There are also chapters on developments related to trust in the digital economy and on the emerging Internet of things.
