Ode of the chimera: Serpent's Refrain

After a mass extinction event in the distant future, mankind has traversed the stars in search of a new home. After years adrift, they landed on the verdant world of Kazar, and have discovered intelligent life. Due to major technological advances, mankind appears as gods to the denizens, the kazamites, and as the years pass, they start ruling like so. As time passed by, mankind ruled more as a divine dictatorship, rather than divine helpers and soon created a utopia in their image, indifferent to others. The kazamites and other humans began to protest and soon, the human regime did the unthinkable, created life. Chimeras, were a genetically engineered race designed to impose the will of the ruling humans. They were made by mixing the DNA of kazamites and humans thus, are seen as outcast by both sides. Follow Mandy, a chimera, on her journey discovering and questioning what exactly "freedom" is and if there's more to a chimera's life than just servitude. As tensions rise, and lines are drawn in the sand, which side will she stand with?
