Drug development is the process of developing novel pharmacological substances or repurposing pre existing ones .Drug delivery systems-such as nanoparticles, liposomes, transdermal patches, etc. are creative methods of efficiently delivering medications to the body that improve absorption, target certain tissues, lessen adverse effects, and increase patient compliance .Technological developments and accomplishments in the sector nowadays. New developments in the field that indicate its direction, including gene therapy delivery, personalised medicine, AI-driven medication creation, etc. Molecules not previously authorised for therapeutic use are known as new chemical entities, or NCEs. Monoclonal antibodies, peptides, and medications based on nucleic acids (such as siRNA and mRNA) . Repurposing current medications for new purposes or enhancing them for increased efficacy, stability, or patient compliance is known as drug repositioning and reformulation.
