Nothing but Ash

Midnight Ridge has a secret. On the surface, it's a sleepy little town, a quiet, close-knit community where the biggest drama is the sheriff's not-so-secret unrequited love for her high school sweetheart. And how it's not unrequited at all. Erin and Owen were perfect together until she left town, and he married her best friend, Cindy. Somehow, the three remained friends once Erin returned and eventually became sheriff of Midnight Ridge. Years later, everything changed. Cindy disappeared and was presumed dead leaving Owen and their daughter struggling to recover from the loss. As Owen begins to get his life back together with Erin's help, they face a new danger. A wolf is hiding among the innocent citizens of Midnight Ridge, picking off one bad kid at a time. His sinister gaze has focused on Owen's teenage daughter who has been unable to accept her mother's disappearance. But Cindy isn't gone. And she's determined to protect her daughter, Owen and Erin even if she is dead. Nothing but Ash is a romantic suspense novella with paranormal elements. For fans of L. Shannon's usual works, be warned this one is more sweet than naughty.
