None of this Was In the Will

Birdie Fletcher left behind a motel, a mountain of secrets, and one final complication: three women who have absolutely no intention of owning anything together.Lou Fletcher is fifty-five, estranged from her mother, and ready to settle the estate and return to the life she built three states away.Della Price is sixty-three and has spent more than thirty years keeping the Wildflower Motor Court running-long enough to know exactly how much of the place belongs to her, even if the paperwork never said so.Nora Reyes is twenty-nine, fiercely independent, and carrying a motel-room key she has no intention of explaining. Then Birdie's will is read. The Wildflower has been left to all three women in equal shares. And if they want the right to sell it, they must operate it together for one year. What begins as an inconvenient inheritance soon becomes something else. A locked room. A ledger filled with women's initials. Old photographs. Unsent letters. And evidence that Birdie spent decades quietly offering women a safe place to land-even while leaving her own daughter with wounds she never managed to repair. As Lou, Della, and Nora uncover the lives Birdie touched, they must decide whether the Wildflower is a failing roadside motel, a complicated woman's legacy, or the beginning of something none of them would have chosen for themselves.Because sometimes inheritance is property.Sometimes it is obligation. And sometimes it is permission to do things differently.None of This Was in the Will is a warm, witty, emotionally grounded novel about complicated mothers, unlikely friendships, second chances, and women discovering that the life someone leaves you is not necessarily the life you have to keep.Book Three in The Inconvenient Women series. Each novel can be read as a standalone.
