Night Fright

In her excitement to see the red-blue blindingflash of light that suddenly shocked the early evening sky,the small blond girl went sliding in the wet earth near thecorner of her home located near the water tower on Quincy Hill,Hancock Michigan. Stumbling, she fell and made a three-pointlanding on one knee and the palms of two outstretched hands.As swiftly as the night-fright disappeared, she felt theearth tremble beneath her feet and saw a tower of water suddenlyrise to what appeared to be some hundreds of feet high.Then the jury foreman stood."We don't need deliberation."The judge blinked.
